Rockingham WA Verge Garden Guidelines

Councils and Policies

No written approval is required for verges containing natural lawn, garden or organic mulch. ​For any other materials acceptable under their policy, you must submit a written application and include a plan for assessment and approval.

Council is responsible for the planting and maintenance of all street trees however they ask the owner or occupier to water newly planted trees.

Edible plants are permitted, however, caution should be used to ensure plants are not hazardous to people, pets or fauna. Fruit trees and climbing plants are not permitted.
