Broken Hill’s policy, “To allow residents and property owners the opportunity to beautify their nature strips by various landscaping works which comply with Council Regulations”,  was adopted in 1996.

Inspection is required beforehand to ensure resident understands the policy, plans must be approved, and there is a second inspection at the end of the project.
