ACF Community Brisbane Northside

ACF Community Brisbane Northside is an independently organised, volunteer-run group representing Brisbane northern suburbs and Moreton Bay region and is part of the Australian Conservation Foundation Community Group network.

The group is for people in the Brisbane Northside who care about climate, nature and wildlife, to connect and share activities and information.

As part of the ACF Save our Big Backyard campaign we are conducting ongoing, hands-on, nature activities in our communities that connect, restore, and protect nature and engage everyday Australians from all walks of life.

How are we going to do it?
By collaborating with the Shady Lanes Project, we will run ongoing events to encourage members and other community members to increase habitat and biodiversity in their streets by replacing turf with native verge gardens, in accordance with the existing policies of their local Council.

From September 2022, we will be running ongoing events including verge visits and  information sessions. Please follow our facebook page and our ACF page below for events and stories of the gardens created.
